NEM Energy has been awarded the HRSG scope for the Gotland Horizon X Project by Siemens Energy, a landmark new-buildapplication in the marine sector.
The project comprises the engineering, procurement and delivery of a Heat Recovery Steam Generator, designed to integrate in a gas turbine-based combined-cycle configuration for ship propulsion. Whereas most ships and offshore vessels are currently driven by piston engines, gas turbine-based propulsion provides a cleaner and more efficient alternative for next-generation offshore andmarine propulsion systems.
The HRSG is engineered to meet demanding performance, footprint and operational flexibility requirements, while complying withapplicable marine and project-specific design standards.
The scope includes full HRSG pressure parts, casing, ducting and associated auxiliaries, engineered into modules and efficientlogistics. As part of the scope, NEM will provide technical field support during installation and commissioning to ensure proper integration and performance compliance.
Gotland Horizon X marks another strong reference for NEM in complex, high-end HRSG applications.
