Cleaning

Basic Cleaning

Mechanical cleaning is carried out using high-pressure water jetting.

This includes:

  • Fan blades
  • Internal surfaces of the cell roof
  • Cell walls
  • Internal structural components
  • Cooling tower basin

Chemical Cleaning

Following mechanical cleaning, a biocide is applied to relevant internal surfaces to remove biological fouling, such as algae growth.

This treatment is applied to:

  • Fan blades
  • Cell walls
  • Internal structural components
  • Internal surfaces of the cell basin
  • Inlet and outlet silencer louvers (where installed)

After an exposure time of approximately two hours, the biocide is removed using either high-pressure water jetting or a C-hose.
