Biggest challenge to the current Energy Market

History
NEM has a history spanning almost a century in the energy business. Founded in Leiden, the Netherlands, in 1929, the company soon began manufacturing and supplying boilers to clients worldwide. Over the years, NEM has expanded and became one of the most valued companies in the field of steam generators. Today, NEM is a leading global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in its business with a core competence in heat transfer.

Research & Development
NEM constantly monitors the energy market to identify demand for new technologies and products. This ongoing effort ensures the development of new highly customized solutions to complex energy challenges. Our R&D department is constantly looking for new solutions to complex problems, ways to apply new technologies and the improvement of existing products such as NEM’s DrumPlus™ and the Vertical Once-Through Design. For open cycle gas turbine plants used for peaking power, NEM has developed and successfully sold Selective Catalyst Reduction units using tempered air (T-SCR), an innovative new way to reduce NOx emissions in peaking power plants.

Heat demand accounts for a significant proportion of the world’s total energy usage. The energy transition in the various heat markets demands new and innovative solutions in the field of heat transfer, whether for energy storage or direct heat production using renewable sources, NEM is committed to supporting the energy transition by providing solutions for existing and new markets.
